After coming back from Denver I realized that New Orleans and surrounding areas are also heavily involved in the film and fashion industry right now. Since getting back to New Orleans I have multiple jobs and each job always leads to a future one. The first was for Jolie & Elizabeth. It is comprised of two young New Orleans fashion designers, Jolie Bensen and Sarah Elizabeth Dewey. Their mission:
"Staying true to timeless southern style, the dresses of
Jolie and Elizabeth surpass forced trends that overlook
the purpose of a dress: to adorn or decorate; to render
pleasing or attractive. Trends come and go, buta true
Southern girl knows good style and good attitude go
hand in hand. And there's nothing more charmingly
irresistible than that."
She needed two models for Cirque Magazine. I was so excited to see a designer doing her thing in New Orleans. She also stated that she plans on writing a self help-ish book forfashion design who need help rising to the top after coming out of school. She is defiantly a designer to keep your eye on.
